Hey, I've been getting tons of private mail, which is awesome. However, if you're so inclined, give a shout out to the motorcycle world at large here, too, and I'll post it in the guest book.

CommentsHello Everyone. My name is Donna and I have spent this Sunday AM reading, and visiting other forums about motorcycling. I am glad I came across this site. I am a Newbie Woman Biker...just bought my first bike last week..a 2001 HD Sportster 883 Hugger (Babycakes 2) and I do not know how to ride it yet. I am excited and wanting to learn right away..things take time and I have no patience right now. Looking forward to making new friends and getting out in the wind.
CommentsHi! I just discovered your site. Looking forward to checking it out. My name is Kat. My email is karadigan@aol.com. I have 2 bikes: Honda Shadow & Yamaha Royal Star. Just got the Star. CommentsA big hallo to everybody out there. My name is Inge, and I'm sending this message from Europe, more specific from Belgium. At this moment I own my 4th bike, a honda XL1000V Varadero, I'm riding for 8 years now. I think that I already spent a 22.000 kilometers on the road this year (2003). I JUST LOVE IT!!! Greetings inge.willems@depinte.be
CommentsHowdy Sasha....Just dropping in to take a peak and get a riding "fix", even if it's just a virtual one thru the lense of your pen...THANK YOU. Iron BUTT ride. Goodness, gotta get my kids raised so I can do that...Sounds like a piece of heaven to me. I ride a 03 Screaming Eagle Softail Deuce....Used to be a Fatboy. Hubster wanted to surprise me and love me with a grand style. He snuck out on the Fatty and came back slim....Deuce style. ( I still miss that Fatbabe!). I have two children...a little chick and Harley Dude (5 and 18 months). As much as I love riding, I love my family with the same intensity. The little ones will leave the nest so I'm content to love on them, watch them grow, and send them out with as much security in love as I can. Hopefully, the steel horse will always be in the barn for future rides. Thanks for your writing and living out your dream for all to see. You capture well in writing the simple things in life which add up to the big gifts God gives us each day. It is the present...the gift of life now!!

CommentsHey Sasha! I really love your website and enjoy surfing it in my spare time. I am from Topeka Kansas and stumbled on to your site from a link posted on the local radio station website.....so glad I did. My name is Lisa and I got my bike on my 30 something birthday. I have a 1987 HD Hugger and I absolutely love it, just wish I had more time ride. I haven't done a whole lot to it but plan to. I changed the seat and put drag pipes on it (love it loud!) I learned to ride a couple years ago on a Yamaha 175cc dirt bike (around the yard) then I attended a MC safety course in order to get my license. I'm so glad I did. I have no desire to ever be on the back of a bike again. It is great seeing so many women with their own bikes! I haven't named mine yet, but will work on that one. Thanks again for your website!! Lisa Wiley Topeka, KS Luv_my_hugger883@yahoo.com
Commentshi,like your site,mine is a 98 black sportster custom,oh yeah your a dollface.have fun...'G'
CommentsHi, Sasha! I'm "Sol", 58 years old, and live at Cabo Frio-Rio de Janeiro. I own a Honda "Tornado" 250cc. Glad to meet you. Unfortunately where I live there isn't to many bikerladies....Really bad, because the views and the beaches are incredible beautiful, but it is not very much safe to ride alone... I hope one day US Bikerladies come to visit my village and my country. So long!
CommentsHey Sasha. From the photos I've seen of you, it looks as if you'd be a fun riding companion. What kind of work do you do & where are you from. I currently live in Nashville, TN. It's about as nice a place as any I've been too. Of course if I could do anything I wanted to, I'd move to a warmer climate, but for the average person, the pay scale in Florida isn't very good. Alabama is just as bad, though I have no desire to move there. A good buddy of mine lives in a small town right outside of Birmingham. What kind of motorbike do you have? Good luck too ya!
CommentsThanks for the look. You are a Very Sexy and Beautiful Lady
CommentsThis is a great web site. I got my license this year for my 50th birthday. I took the Safe Rider class and learned on a Harley Davidson Ultra Classic. That was what was in the garage. My gracious significant other(SO) let me learn on it. I was amazed once I learned to stop it, how easy it was to handle on the road. It seems to be mine now as my SO rides his 95th Aniversary Classic. We have so much fun riding together. He has been a great teacher. I love the double looks I get when I am riding when people go by me on the freeway. It is also fun to pull up to a stop light next to a man on a smaller bike!!!
Commentsjust wanted to let you know - you have a great site!! i've enjoyed visiting it. lots of great info. i live thanks for providing such a great site to connect to other women riders!!

So keep on rockin on and some day maybe we will meet in the wind. God Bless and always ride free and safe. Your wind sister always Kitten
CommentsI really liked your account of being a personal assistant. I am currently one and I really dislike it. I am really not into being a "servant" for someone, rather the decision maker or at least responsible for my own actions for myself and not for someone else. I've got a degree and trying to find something else to do but the job market is very tough. I am stuck so am looking desperately for some inspiration to see the brighter side of my current role. Please help if you have further advice on how to survice here :) Thank you. May
CommentsHey Sasha! This is a great site. Thanx for giving women another voice in the motorcycle world. Keep up the good work. I'm looking forward to your show on the Discovery channel. It will be great to watch a motorcycle program where the women aren't "g-string wearing models" but actually ride the bikes.
CommentsHi Sasha, It's winter here in Montreal, cold and snowy. Not much riding these days... so I ended up on the Web for biker stuff. I got a BMW F650GS and can't wait to "de-winterize" it! Have fun, take care and good riding. Christophe

DeAnna Goodrich.Look forward to hearing more about your new projects.I ride a honda shadow I call my dream catcher. It has a killer dream catcher painted on the tank. I did the biker redecation at Orlando Harley Well we got in a bike accident on Feb. 13 and we spent 11 days in the hospital and Sharon has 7 fractures in her pelvis. She will be down for a while. We both love you and what you do. Al
CommentsHey, I helped you at the Orlando Harley dealer witht the washer on that screw for your fender chap. I didn't know you were famous. I hope you don't mind, but I am going to brag that I saw your thong every time you bent down. In anycase, thanks for talking to me about the chrome designs on your bike. Sometimes a guy wants to look at a bike more than a pretty girl.
CommentsI am a fifty year old women who has raised five children, self taught myself into a career as a Network Administrator, got a well deserved divorce, and bought my own condominium. But I have to tell you; all of this pales to the sense of accomplishment that I felt last year, when I went through a grueling three-day motorcycle course and got my motorcycle license. That sense of accomplishment returns every time I start up my bike and pull out onto the open road. I love your website! You are an inspiration to all of us!
CommentsHEY SASHA I MET YOU IN DAYTONA HOPE YOU HAD A GREAT RIDE I SURE DID, I REALLY ENJOYED TALKING WITH YOU. HOPE YOU CAN MAKE IT TO THE RALLY IN MYRTLE BEACH S.C. LATER ALAN
CommentsHello, Sasha, I was always afraid of bikes while at the same time fascinated. You see, I had seen my father lying in the road after riding my brother's brand new one. He was hit by a truck. I was five years old. That was many years ago. Though my father survived, I could never shake the image of him lying in the dirt, the bike crumpled, his moans. Until last fall. I summoned the courage after listening to many friends who ride. They were enjoying it so much! I enrolled in a safety course just for me. I passed nervously, then half-heartedly looked for a bike. Well, a deal came along I couldn't pass up. The engine wasn't too big--a 750cc... The color ok.... black with yellow stripes... It had been lowered... though I am tall enough. But most of all the price was right and the bike was in great condition. So I bought it! It sat in my garage awhile and I dusted it. Now I am riding it locally every few days. It's a Magna 750 and people say it looks like a wasp, sleek and fast. Nickname? Stinger. I'm enjoying every minute of it. I have a long way to go. But just visiting your website gives me more confidence. Thank you so much. I look forward to getting your book and following this dream that started out as a fear. See you on the road! Blessings your way, Rebekah

CommentsHi Sasha, I really look forward to the day when I can meet you. People like you inspired me to take my first "bike" step last summer. It totally became my world. So much that I started my own FEMALE BIKER ONLY company called "BikeHERwear" (www.bikeherwear.com). Until this business hopefully takes off and grows, I continue to work as a personal assistant here in Georgia (you can relate!). I currently ride a 2002 Big Dog Chopper and just can't get enough of it. You are an incredible lady and all of the female bikers who know you feel the same. Much luck and success to you.
CommentsHi Sasha. My husband and I saw you in Daytona and enjoyed the preview. It was my first time going to Daytona and meeting you and running into you several more times was definately a highlight. I ride on the back of my husband's V-Rod now but am seriously thinking about taking a course and riding myself. Love this website and will be checking it out in the future too. Looking forward to seeing the clothes we saw at the preview. CommentsIt was great meeting you! I got some great pictures of bikes and other things and of course of you, I will send your pictures later along with two others you may like. I got back on Wednesday and going there by boat is half of the fun for Laser and I. Thanks for talking to me, maybe we will meet again. LASER, PETE
CommentsI read your "My Life as a Personal Assistant to the Rich and Famous and Socialites" piece and I found it very inspiring. I don't ride a bike, although I wish I could. However, I too am dealing with the same politics you dealt with in the corporate world except that I am persuing my Bachelors degree and I'm the proud single mother of an 11 year old angel. I am thinking about being a personal assistant. I have been struggling entirely too long and not that this will relieve me of all my worries, but it will hopefully relieve my money issue. I would love to be a chef, write a book and teach, but I can't do those things without having an education and an education cost money. Not to mention that my daughter is growing rather quickly thus getting more expensive to maintain. I don't want to get a second job since that would take time away from her and would end up costing me more money for sitting. Anyway, I found your piece very inspiring and I wanted to thank you. It is really nice to know that there are people like you out there. You go girl!

CommentsCame across your article in Hot Rod Bikes May issue and figured I'd say hi. Hi. LOL I've been riding since '67 and never achieved this kind of notoriety. In fact, back then, everyone hated us, and now with the proliferation of Harley's status, it seems everyone and his or her uncle wants to be a biker. Not saying this for you, and not attacking you. Just mentioning it is all. I guess I'm just not getting it. Anyway, wish you well. Don't have my own address, so I've left a friends in case ya' have to have one. Again, lotsa' luck and a good life. Fox

I feel like I have been reborn since I got my motorcycle liscence couple of years ago. We are riding to Sturgis this year and I can hardly wait for the time to come, will be my first time. I am empowered by women like you. Thank you

Comments2001 HD Dyna Sport......and love it. I am always trying to find women to ride with. I think all of women riders should come together and have a Bike Rally with some really cool bands, booths, shows , etc. Do you know any that occur with in the States? Great Web Site. Monica Commentsi do not even have a bike yet but hope by educating myself from sites like yours to be able to "take the plunge"...i have been married 27 yrs. and it is hubby that is dead set against it...needless to say, that only makes me want a harley more!..love your site, keep up the good work!
CommentsI have a tremendous amount of respect for the female species who hook up with and ride Harley's. You are doing a great job promoting women bikers. You go girl......
CommentsHey Hot girl, I heard your interview on the radio in New Orleans for the recent bike show in the Superdome. You talked about the website so i thought i would take a look. You are quite stunning. You have a pic while sitting on a chopper with net stockings. Is that the outfit you wore this past weekend? When i have more time I'll check out the rest of the website and see what you girls area all about and what drives your ambitions. I'm not a biker yet, but do have a dirt bike. Not many places to ride in town. my bike is a 1979 KLX 250..."old Betsy". She wasn't working when i bought her for $200. I had new pistons and valves put in her by a local and deaf bike lover. After a friend help me put her back together she lit up on the first crank. She has an average speed start but really good top end speed. Old Betsy is a 4-stroke enduro bike. I have recently sold my trailer so i need to sell Old Betsy so someone else can keep her alive a running free.
CommentsHi Sasha, You are an inspiration!. I am about to begin my Rider Classes next week at a local Community college. I am eager to join the ranks of Ladybikers. All my male friends I have been riding with over the years have been urging me to get my own bike. I'm turning 50 next month, so no time better to do it. Looking forward also to posting for your Calendar when I get my own ride! Always been a Harley Girl. Looking forward to the TLC showing on May 13th. Mare

CommentsHi Sasha , I just wanted to let you know how excited we are waiting for Thursday night and the new show. I went to the Harley store yesterday and told everyone to be sure and watch and I also posted a notice of the show in the customer lounge on the events board. I showed one of the ladies that works in the Harley rental dept. your new web page and She was very impressed. All the best Biker Lady, Hope to cross your path again some day. Ride on, Much Love , DENNIS CommentsYo, Sasha. I had a chance to check out your show on TLC tonight and was damn glad to see that they are finally paying attention to the female riders. If it wasn't for a broken back and severe nerve damage, I wouldn't mind getting a chance to just go for a ride with you. And I assure you it would be nothing more than that due to the wonderful fact that I'm married to an angel. Keep riding and be free!
CommentsHi Sasha, I am not a biker girl, but saw the Biker Girl: Born to be Wild special on TLC that you did with your friend Vicky. It was extremely entertaining, so I looked your website up to do some exploring. Best Wishes from Thunder Bay, Canada!
CommentsSascha, I just watched Biker Girls. You are an inspiration to be free and live life to it's fullest. I've love bikes but have always been a passenger. Seeing you on your bike makes me wanna get my own "Bitchin' Bike"!! Ride On!!!! Classycatgirl from Northern California
CommentsAs I write this, Sasha, I am watching you on TV and really wishing I was 20 years younger. (sigh) You are gorgeous. We just broke for a commercial and, apparently, you are about to get inked done. Hummm. What will she get, I wonder? (5 mins later) Ahh! A Tiger Lilly. It looks really good. I think it suits you. I have no tats myself but there is ONE I must get (Just as soon as I work up the chutzbah!) It will be in the same place as yours and it will say,"Please, lets nobody ever, ever, ever, tell this guy all the crap we wrote on his back! He thinks it's a pirate ship!!" ;) ---- Just saw the many couples getting re-married. Very cool. If you respond to these posts, please let me know how I might be able to help with next year's ceremony. (I am an ordained minister.) Well I am going to go explore some of your other internet endeavors. Someday soon I plan to bring my 85 BMW to NY. I hope I get the chance to meet you. Ride Easy & God Bless. Mark (Nurseman) Albright

Commentshey.................I kinda stumbled across your site this am......tres cool :) I'm not a tv watcher so will probably miss your show............ Bike? Do I have 1? Yeppers.......I have 2 at the moment....1 a Harley.....sportster 1200 custom xl and a Virago 250..........I've been doing some stuff to the sporty and riding the virago. I tried on a buncha bikes and now know what I'm gonna do........so that means sell em both, get a better ride till next year when a low rider is more affordable. Yep....that solves alotta confusion! See I'm going to Sturgis this year (first time) and want a dependable yet COOL ride...know what I mean? We've never been to Sturgis cause my husband races the Bonneville Salt Flats so that always collides timewise........not takin a car this year so YEE HAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! K...enough about the bikes.....you said something about a passion for sewing? I am a tailor / seamstress, also have a shop in which I do leather & suede alterations / customizing. I love what I do and who I am..............lots of people don't...so I can relate with the "apology" thingy you talk about...........I don't often apologize as I am who I am and if I have not been offensive or misrepresentative .......why should I? It's "thier stuff" as I see it (after checkin in with me first...in case it was mine) so I blow it off as a whatever. ummmmmmmmmmmm well..........guess I better not use up all your space here............just wanted to yak, say congrats and all that................from way up here in BC, Canada ride on and God bless Vicki
CommentsI am just getting to bikes, I am working on getting a sportster as we speak. I love what you are doing for the bike community. Keep it up.
CommentsJust seen your special on TLC with Vicki.... Just wanted to say, keep on smiling, you have a great smile and are a beautiful woman :)
CommentsI really enjoyed Biker Girls: Born to Be Wild! on Discovery Chanel. Looks like you had a lot of fun in Daytona. I was in West Palm Beach for six years and wished I stayed there but business required a move to Ohio. I had a Yamaha 650 Special and regret ever selling it so I'll be buying a Road Star Silverado or Warrior ASAP. Well, I was hopeing that maybe you might see some of the self defense items I sell but if not, disregaurd. My web site is "JC Choice Products" http://www.jcchoiceselfdefense.com/ & http://www.jcchoicehomesafety.com/
CommentsI ride a 2001 Harley-Davidson Dyna Wide Glide with a lot of custom work. I enjoyed your show on the TLC last week and I was wondering when it will air again and if it's possible to buy a copy of the episode.

CommentsHi i read your article and wanted to say that i found it quite interesting. I myself have not been able to work at a traditional job. I am not a 9-5 persona nad after years of working with sick people as a nurse have decided I wanted to be a persoanl assistant. I wonder how you got started, or how you found the families you worked for? I appreciate the advise Thank you Nancy
CommentsYou're kool, I hope to be riding again before to long.
CommentsHey Sasha, Just got a copy of your book and I'm knocked out. You have found the Holy Grail and I'm proud to share your passion for motorcycling. I am a 50ish biker for 35 years, own a Motorcycle Training School, Motorcycle Roadside Assistance Company, and publish a new publication called the Motorcycle Monster. We would love to talk to you about writing about some of your adventures from a ladies point of view on the front of the bike. I had a thunder bolt hit me a few years ago (heart attack and by-pass) and have focused on Motorcycling ever since. Best heart attack I ever had. Thanks for your time. CommentsI was mindlessly flipping through the channels on my television while speaking to a friend on a phone, when I caught your show "Biker Girls : Born to be Wild". As I watched I shared commentary with my friend on the other line. I totally enjoyed the program and was amazed to see someone who true lives her life. I'm so use to seeing woman going along for the ride, it was nice to see someone who loves steering her own way through life. Thanks for making an otherwise boring night interesting.
CommentsHello everyone. My name is Lee Martin. I write for Cycledreams Magazine, ride with a group of stuntbikers called Ronin, and produce Moto-Extreme Entertainment. OK...I make stunt videos...haha. I have been set on a course of events which led me here, and It is my pleasure to be enjoying Shaha's web for the first time. The world of motorcycles I have been exposed to has been very limited, but I hope this will be the first of may websites I visit to help me learn more about everyones love of two wheels. BTW...forgot to mention I have been riding since 87', where in San Diego I didn't even drive a car before getting my motorcycle lic. and currently have a Yamaha R1 and a ton of dreams ahead.
CommentsMissed the show on TLC May 13th at 10PM..do you have any idea if they plan a second showing? Tnx, Bruce '03 FXDWG & '02 1200C sportster
CommentsSasha -- I used to be on your mailing list when the site was formerly "bikerlady.com" and only rec'd one mailing from the site. Hopefully, I can get many, many more updates and emails from your new site! I am in the process of getting my permit/license and looking at bikes myself, although I have to admit I am SCARED to DEATH!!!! I know several people who ride, but they're all guys who conveniently drop off the face of the Earth when I reach out to them for advice or time to chat about motorcycles or ride with them. I was dating a great(??? So I thought??) guy who is a biker and always took me with him when he rode. He and I made alot of plans on HOW and WHAT we would do to get me a bike and "whore it up" and all -- now I don;t know WHO to look toward. I LOVE bikers and being on a bike!!!!! I'd like to know what YOU would suggest to a person who would like to meet people to ride with and get ideas and tips from, and just cool people to hang out with who ride. Oneday, I'd like to meet another man, but he MUST be a BIKER!!! So, what would you suggest to do for a person who really doesn't hang with bikers all the time but would like to?? Also, how would I go about finding other women to meet and ride with? Thanks so much for your insight -- Terri
CommentsHi Sasha! I watched the program -- it was great! I hope you are getting positive comments from everywhere. Can you email me your phone number -- I didn't note the 212 number. Kelly is wondering what to do with the books you left at bike week.
Commentswould love to ride with you someday, if your ever riding through RI email me ahead.

CommentsMy "biker" name is "cowgirl"! That's cause I primarily ride quarter horses in cattle competitions and trail ride alot out west! I own a 2001 VStar 650 that I have added dual HardChrome Pipes to and lots of Chrome. This spring I enhanced the deep purple paint job by adding "shadow flames" and christened my bike The Steel Horse Cowgirl. I thus far have gotten two other horse gals to get their license and buy bikes and we are enjoying our new found road freedom! This summer we are heading to Sturgis for the first time and are both excited and frightened. Not sure what were gonna find there, but were always up for new adventures. Life is a ride and ya gotta make it as wild as ya can!!

CommentsHi Sasha! Just wanted to let you know how inspiring you are to women everywhere. I've enjoyed watching both documentaries (Discovery Channel's "Motorcycle Women" and TLC's "Biker Girls: Born to Be Wild") that featured you and other ladies from diverse backgrounds who enjoy the open road. I am a 35 yr. old administ. assistant for a oil & gas company who is very interested in learning how to ride. I know a few ladies in my home town who currently ride and they love it. I just ordered your book, and I cannot wait to read it. Hope to see more shows hosted by you in the future. Best wishes, from a hopeful wind sister, Emmy

CommentsCool show! I taped it for some female biker ladies I know. You really embody the true spirit of riding, I admire that. I recently bought my wife a Honda Nighthawk 650 and she is learning to ride. (I have a Goldwing 1100)Your show was a major inspiration for her. At first she wouldn't watch it thinking it was just almost naked babes and directed to male viewers. After I explained that it was about the adventures of two girl bikers going to Daytona she watched it. I think it really made her feel and know that other women do ride and enjoy it, and that she can do it too. Anyway, we will be going soon for her license test and she is getting more confident to hit the open roads. Thanks Bikerladies! Hey, I love to ride her on my Goldwing, but I'm proud of her taking the time and courage to learn how to ride herself. And I know she will love the freedom of the road and the new experiences she will have. So, Thanks again gals, she is more determined to ride now more than ever. I hope the powers-that-be will make this a new series. It would be great to see you gals journey across America visiting clubs, going to rallies and being an inspiration to more riders, both male & female. CommentsThank you for your article about being a personal assistant. I am interested in leaving corporate America after 17 years and transitioning to being a personal assistant. I've heard many negative stories and not too many positive. Your article was an inspiration that this is something that I can do. I too have read the writings of Melba Duncan and attended conferences where she was the guest speaker. She also inspires the assistant to strive for more.

CommentsSasha, Just wanted to drop an email and let you know that I am involved with the company that Kelly Murphy is involved in. He said you and I have alot in common and will be working together in the future. I am a biker too, and absolutely love it. Look forward to meeting you in the future. Terri
CommentsSasha, Three weeks ago I took the safety course, thinking it would be a great way for me to help out if anything would happen while my husband and I are out on the bike. I was hooked. I passed the course and when I got home your book was waiting for me and a very proud husband. Now I'm truley hooked! Your book is an awe-inspiring read that even my husband says has created a monster. I went out and bought the hugger kit and a different seat for his sportster and told him to but a new bike. There is only one flaw in this whole story. The Motor Vehicle Admin is denying me my right to ride because I have MS. I will fight them! They are not going to realize what hit them. I am a 36 year old mother of 3 that just graduated with a degree in Medical Research at the Univ of MD School of Medicine. I haven't had any serious problems with my MS and I did my internships with the right people at the MS clinic here in Baltimore. Reading your book has made me realize my own dreams and I will keep my dreams alive. By the way, the Sportster is a 2002 883R. Maryland and their ignorance will not stop me. Jean M. Spice
CommentsYour documentary "Biker Girls" inspired me so much that I am taking a class to learn how to ride and I am buying a bike. Admittedly, I don't know that much about motorcycles and could use any suggestions from fellow biker girls on a good make and model for a starter. Thanks for helping me find the courage to do this. Maria
CommentsHi Sasha - just checking to see if the Ladies' Run that you talked about for Sturgis is a go for this year. I haven't seen anything about it, but don't want to miss it if you are having it! Look forward to hearing from you!
CommentsMaria, Go sit on 100 bikes and see what fits you, not the sales person. Make sure you can touch the ground. I would never tell you what type or style to get, that's your decision. Make sure your comfortable. Jean

Her telephone number is 1-888-GO-DOG-GO EXT 342 OR EMAIL: crys1982@aol.com RSVP Tickets are still available for $24.95 each, which includes admission, racing program, lunch, tour of the greyhound kennel facilities and a silent auction. The auction has many fine items, gifts and services, in particular a gift certificate for the modern female for 80 hours of Drag Queen Maid Service for the office or home which can be used over a period not longer than one year and is available on weekends only. What a gas, equality has turned full circle. I was thinking of hiring her, but the girls that I have working for me would be jealous if she was prettier than them. It definitely sounds like something I will attend if weather holds up as the hurricanes are approaching with some wind and heavy rain. It would be nice to at least bid on this and the other gifts, especially if there is jewelry or nice purses. The hours of the event are listed as: 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Try to make, I will try too! Get the word out, get those hogs started down I-95 to Bridgeport. Sincerely, Denise
CommentsSasha, Just happened to stumble across your web site while surfing for any news or pics from Sturgis. Almost made it there this year, but other obligations came up and couldn't. Saw you on TLC. Loved the show! You are so outgoing and friendly! You're personality attracts me! I'd really love to meet you some day and just sit and talk. I believe a read that you were in Sturgis. Hope you post the pictures. If you rode to Sturgis and are on your way back to NYC, email me and I'll buy you lunch or something. I live right off 80-94 near the Illinois/Indiana border. Not the greatest area in the world! Been trying to get out of here for years. Maybe my bike will be the way out........Electraglide in "black" (traded off the Hugger 883 for a 2001 ElectraGlide after I got rear-ended)...I miss the Hugger....but the Glide has a big comfortable seat! CommentsI am trying to locate a copy of the Discovery Channel documentary of the four lady bikers travelling from San Fran to Sturgis. My wife had an accident on her motorcycle, and she is out of work for a while. We have been trying to locate the documentary for her to watch while she is healing, and we are having absolutely no luck! Please help if you can direct me to where I can purchase this. The Discovery Channel site is absolutely no help! My wife's biker nickname is "Prissy" and she loves bikes and riding just as much as I do. She is absolutely beautiful and most cannot believe she logs as many miles as she does, but she truly likes to ride year round. She is a little down due to her injury and damage to her bike, and I want to cheer her up with a copy of the documentary. If you can direct me to somewhere I can purchase the documentary, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks, and keep the shiny side up! CommentsHi Sasha,I hope your having a wonderful holiday season.I am sending this note because two weeks ago I bought your new book,"Bikerlady,Living & Riding Free",at the local book store. I was down with the flu the week of Christmas,so I spent my time reading and enjoying the stories of the women who enjoy riding motocycles.I have been riding since the mid-60's,and always enjoyed reading and listening to great bike stories,so I wanted to say you just got another male fan who loves your work. I spent a great Christmas with my daughter Lindsay and my new granddaughter,Carrera(9 weeks old and the love of my life).I had also picked up a new book in the Travel Essay section called "Breaking the Limit,One Woman's Motorcycle Journey Through North America" by Karen Larsen, printed by Hyperion. She rode a late 90's Harley-Davidson Sportster named Lucy, from New Jersey to Alaska and back. Here is the sad part,(it not so bad,so don't cry),last Monday I climbed out of my truck with groceries and a cup of coffee, and slipped on the ice and fracture my back and my elbow. I think Milton Berle would of laugh when the coffee landed on top of me.So anyway I had time to read Karen Larsen's book and I thought you should know about it.It would be well worth your time to read it. Thank You,and Happy New Year, your new fan Keith

CommentsHi Sasha I loved your book it's so great to get excited about riding. Since it's winter in the north I read all I can. Women rders are my power of example, although this past summer I found out my husband had been calling other women who ride in our area to go riding with him. It really hurt the closeness I would have felt if that hadn't happened. I left him and I will go on to have a great time meeting new people. I look forward to the Killington Rally in Vermont in Sept. I of course will attend Laconia NH in June, but this is where heart ache is this year so I need a change. Isn't that what life is all about? See you on the rode! CommentsWow, it's wonderful to see more ladies taking the handlebars and riding. Each and every one of you are an inspiration to other ladies to take charge and cruise on their own. You grrrls keep riding! I drop by this site from time to time cause Sasha is the best and to see what 's new. Sasha is the only person that can take the feeling of riding and translate it's delicate nuiances into the spoken and written word. I've read other authors but she has a magic with her descriptions of "it" and how it feels. If you haven't read any of her works, do yourself a favor and take a moment to get her book or read some of her stuff on the net. It's powerful! You may also want to share her book with other ladies, i can think of no other source to give a woman the right idea of what it's all about. Sasha captures the real feeling of riding and being free and puts it in such eloquent forms in her writings. Plus, she ain't bad to look at either. ;-) Hey, all you grrrls on bikes are sexy! Ride free! J. sbn.motorcyclecity.net

CommentsGreat site-Mediabistro did a nice write up on you too. I wanted to let other riders know about a great CD I discovered. Here's info on one of the songs. Biker Arrives in Heaven with a Harley Davidson on His Back: Cyril May's song "Phil" is a story about a biker's hero, and whatever your mode of transportation, you'll love this irreverent tune about Biker Phil and his Harley. "Four bros on their Harleys riding fast for the fun, Whenever we raced, Phil always won." One day, as the group was racing along the endless stretches of straight California highway, Phil as usual was ahead of the crowd. Unbeknown to Phil, he was about to encounter a spectacular road hazard. "At 130 he crested the hill, Where 200 sheep met the Harley and Phil." The song goes on to describe the resulting carnage, but Phil and his bike were never found. Later, Phil arrives at the Pearly Gates on his Harley requesting admittance. St. Peter was a little put out because the bike was leaking oil on his pearly floor, but said, "You've got a hog, boy, so ride right in." Now Phil is racing around heaven and keeping things hopping. His old biker chum has this to say, "I still miss Phil but I bet he don't miss me, Not with an Angel on the back of his hallowed HD." "Phil" is just one of the many entertaining tracks on Cyril May and Jack McDonald's CD "Off The Beaten Track". Visit the website at www.cyrilmay.com, e-mail at divingds@juno.com , or 266 Orizaba, Long Beach, CA 90803 or contact Cyril May 562-433-0734
Hey everyone! Thanks so much for all your wonderful mail. I'm glad you caught the Discovery Channel program that ran last Wednesday. Thanks for watching. The motorcycle culture is so wonderful because we're all one big family and watch out for one another. Stay tuned for some really fun projects ahead that will surely entertain you, from my camp. God bless and ride with s'miles, Sasha
CommentsI bought my scooter on a whim - well actually my now ex-husband whom I caught cheating during our marriage claimed "If I'd buy him a Harley, he'd stay with me" Hell, who needs that? So I went out and bought one for myself and filed for divorce shortly there after. Take that, pally. So I'm relatively new (3 years) to this scene but loving it so far! Being a woman in the wind fits who I've always been, so this was inevitable. Sasha, you and the rest of the "Mag 6" are truly an inspiration. God loves ya and so do I. Keep the faith ladies! ~Yotee

CommentsI am Aju John Varghese from India (in Asia). I am posting this message so that you can forward it to Indian Larry's wife & family who might be griving his sad demise. I saw Indian Larry on ‘Discovery Travel & Living’ on the ‘build-off’ series & was amazed at his spirit & the man. With a backward tattooed ‘vengeance is mine’ neck, the guy amazed me, a so-called practicing Christian, with his sincerity. I was amazed to see the large heartedness he showed at the build-off with Billy lane & was especially amazed when at Sturgis, he announced that neither he nor Billy Lane deserved to win, and neither of them deserved to lose, and that the contest was a draw& proceeded to cut the trophy in pieces, sharing it with everyone, the competitor as well as the audience. I am a B-school professor in India & I quoted this as the greatest display of ‘sportsman spirit’ that I ever saw on television to my students. It was only this Monday, February 21, 2005 that I came to know about his death in the discovery program. It was a huge shock to me. I checked out the net for details regarding his death, and felt compelled to post this note since I felt that it might be touching for you ppl @ U.S to know that this gr8 guy had an effect on many of us, even across the oceans. Just shows how sincerity speaks, through the barriers of time & space. I just wanted to let the family, dear & near ones of this gr8 soul to know that he will be fondly remembered & that we share in your grief, but more importantly, in am sure that he is indeed in heaven, he will surely not miss the ‘Gr8 bike builder’ & the ‘Heavenly Gasoline Alley’ up there! Finally a word of comfort: 1 Thessalonians 4:13- “…But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus. For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words…” So we shall meet him again. Regards & God Bless. Aju John Varghese http://aju.r8.org

CommentsI've just put down the deposit on my Spotster. She'll be delivered in June, just as I finish my riding course. Up until now all of my riding is behind my sweet man on the back of his Fatboy. This past Christmas my husband gave me the book "Breaking the Limit", by Karen Larsen and your book was a Valentine from my sweety. He has been encouraging me to ride for a while and though I've toyed with the idea, I hadn't taken the step. On our way to Daytona, I read your book every chance I got, before going to sleep, at rest stops, whenever there was time. When we got home I signed up for the class and I knew it was going to happen for me. I've sat on a whole lot of bikes in the last few years at every show and rally we've gone to, but never found one that was quite right. The moment I sat on my Sporster lowrider I knew I found my bike. So, I am going to be a new grandma in May, a new lady biker in June and I'll be riding into Sturgis in August. I think this is the perfect start to the second 50 years of my journey though life. Hugs and ride safe!!
