Living
& Riding Free! A
woman who rides a motorcycle is in tune with the universe, a candidate for high
adventure. You ought to try it.
-Celestine Sibley, celebrated journalist and author As
women motorcyclists, we live and ride free.
We are candidates griping the handlebars of our destiny, singing at the
top of our lungs, unable to contain our sheer bliss as we glide down the
highway. Oh that you would bless me
indeed and enlarge my territory. . .
(prayer of Jabez, the Bible, 1 Chronicles 4:10). I love this prayer, and
that one line sums up so much of the living and riding free experience.
When I saddle up on my motorcycle for any journey, Im like a kid in a
candy store hungry for that next great experience.
In order to have it, Ive got to get out there and expand some
territory because I want to reach beyond what I know; travel out of presupposed
boundaries and catch some wind.
I want to be blessed and receive a fascinating good time on my ride, and
expand my body, mind, soul and heart, and enjoy my free will.
I want to be blessed to melt
with the changing landscape, as the landscapes transform me.
I want my two wheels to drive me to expansive territory physically,
mentally, and spiritually that I sure would never have known otherwise.
I want to be blessed to expand my sense of self and reach far beyond my
usual busy, stressful routines.
I want to be blessed so that I can experience the highest form of free
will, connected with my higher purpose and greatest talents.
I want my territory to expand so that I can utilize my greatest talents
and enjoy my life free and uninhibited by confusing and dumb-ass boundaries and
limitations.
I crave to experience all the
treasures and the good times of a long motorcycle ride, because every ride
transforms me and brings me to a new space and undiscovered territory.
The ride opens up all six senses and once again I am whole.
Prior to technology and a highly materialized world, we had the use of
the sixth sense, the inner knowing, that revered dialed-in nature that
acknowledges a higher self and thus leads us to ultimate freedom because we use
our free will in a positive and exhilarating manner.
Intuition surely guides us. Motorcycle riding restores the
sixth sense and connects us with Mother Nature and Father Sky, all things divine
that equal living and riding free.
I experience an inner road song that harmonizes with my essential divine
nature to become a journey woman symphony.
All sixth senses are delivered into a supernaturally blessed sensitivity
of heightened awareness and glowing insight.
Riders often equate the
feeling of motorcycle riding as closest to flying.
I agree. The power of the
wind rushing through you, embracing your total being is testimony to the inner
need to soar and reach beyond and mingle with destiny; realize our inner gifts
and purpose. Simply be. Thats
high on life, high from the ride and the wild makings
of fond memories and far out fun. That
giddy childlike laughter that wells up at the gun of the throttle flushes
out all the darkness and gives way to clarity, the gentle nudge into an
awareness never before known. When territory expands and
road blessings begin to occur, a new kind of road sign pops up on the voyage.
A direct connection with the Creator through heightened senses gives
subtle directions in life to the rider.
We are revitalized and refreshed after the ride and we hope to carry our
blessed territory expansive experiences into our everyday lives.
Intuition becomes more keenly developed.
Our oneness with nature, people, and the journey helps us to communicate
our passion symbolically as we evolve and transform from the experiences of
heeding the divine road signs in our lives during our motorcycle voyages. Motorcycle
riding is an ecstasy that expands our perception and understanding on so many
levels and delivers us into a lifetime of camaraderie and good times while
living and riding free.
Friends, may the ride set you free! Love & smiles, Sasha |
