MORE REFLECTIONS ABOUT THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST. .
.
This was originally written as a letter to a dear bro, but I realized that
I should share it with the world.
I thought the movie THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST was powerful and beautiful.
The spiritual violence allowed the viewer to enter into the experience of His selfless ransom for sin.
It was horrifying to experience LOVE flogged.
It was devastating to experience TRUTH crucified.
It was a holy relief to experience LIFE everlasting through the resurrection.
I thought as a willing servant, Mel Gibson did a fine job at communicating what I felt to be the will of God
and God made a wonderful selection in a servant. Mel's artistic license was sincere and just, necessary as
well. Metaphorically inspiring as a straight shot to the heart and soul.
Very powerful and potent selection did God make in a lead servant, indeed, right down to the entire cast,
and surely the crew.
Have you checked out the website? God is seeking to bear much fruit from this Hollywood presentation.
What other way will His children pay attention?
Media is the way in which our culture behaves. As if we're all actors mimicking whatever is the latest,
greatest. Though some of us break that mold and say, take a hike. I'm ridin the high road. From THE
PASSION, well, we were certainly ALL ONE entering into that spiritual journey, eh, as we all sat in stunned
silence, wet, disintegrated paper hankies in hand?
Check your egos, glam, moxi, machismo crap at the door for this movie. Hmmm hMMM.
And could you blame God for seeking Hollywood to communicate the WORD in a most influential, strike the
heart chords, alter the mindset, repentance manner? Brilliant move. God is good. God is clever. God IS.
God even decided to preserve the language: sparce and ancient. None of the English fluff of modern day
verbage to loose the tongue and destroy the essential message.
Yes, Jesus is the way, the truth, the light. I savored every moment of that movie. I saw it twice in
one day and plan on seeing it more times. I adore my Saviour. I adore My Father. I adore the Holy Spirit
of Truth and Love within me that constantly calls this sheep into the Trinitarian fold.
I live to glorify GOD through his SON. There is no reason for me to even exist without the Spirit of
Christ. I work diligently everyday to keep my spirit aligned with GOD's will. It is not easy. I stumble
at times and find myself brushing away sin from my soiled knees.
This world can be overwhelming but never enough to overcome the Father. I take refuge in the palm of My
Father's hand that guides me, and sob there.
Seek to bear fruit. Allow the withered branches to fall.
Peace & Love,
Sash
